Pet Wellness Program

Rice Pet Clinic Wellness Program

Rice Pet Clinic offers a progressive approach to veterinary care. Our wellness program embraces a focus on preventative medicine based on the specific life-stage and health status of your pet. Like us humans, the best defense against disease in our pets is a preventative approach.  Our pets who participate in this program are rewarded by being able to maintain their optimal level of health and their families are rewarded through this program and approach with discounts on qualifying in-hospital services without entering into a contract or taking on a monthly payment.  You will never incur costs for services not provided to your pet which can be the case with other wellness plans.  Each patient is assessed individually based on factors such as species, breed, age, and environmental challenges. Next we will discuss the individual recommendations for prevention, nutrition, and diagnostic work-ups appropriate for your pet.

Our team's role is to educate families on those procedures, services and products especially beneficial for their individual pet. Our approach allows us to be more flexible with our recommendations, and gives you more control of your pets' healthcare.  One-size does not fit all when it comes to healthcare for your pet.  We look forward to learning how we can help your family keep their beloved pets as healthy as possible so that they can experience as high of a quality of life as possible.

Rice Pet Clinic's Wellness Program revolves around bi-annual comprehensive physical examinations.  By visiting with a doctor every six months we will be able to help you monitor the health of your pet and adjust your care plan as needed to help maintain your pet's optimal level of health.  Like your dentist, we are your pet's dentist and will be checking oral health at each appointment.  We will also be consulting with you on so much more.  Our doctor's recommendations will vary based on your individual pet's current health status, age, and current risk factors.  We will help you develop an individually appropriate vaccination and parasite prevention plan for your pet.  We will also be able to help you stay on top of the best ways to keep your pet at a healthy body condition/weight and provide your pet with the advanced dental care necessary to prevent oral pain, infection, and damage to internal organs like the heart, liver and kidneys secondary to harmful periodontal disease.  There are a number of diagnostic tests that should be considered for your pet.  Our doctors will educate you on the challenges that your pet may be facing and help you navigate them as smoothly and calmly as possible.

For participants in the Rice Pet Clinic Wellness Program, any services performed at the time of the bi-annual exam will be available at current participant rates.  More frequent re-evaluations may become necessary and recommended for those pets with ongoing illnesses.  Active participants in the program will receive discounts on all physical examinations needed including those needed in addition to the bi-annual wellness physical examinations.

Please contact us for more information about our wellness services or to set up your first Rice Pet Clinic Wellness Program appointment.  Discounts that your pet qualifies for through our wellness program can not be combined with any other discounts or promotions.
