I first discovered my love of animals while growing up in Rothschild, Wisconsin from my mother who was known for rescuing and nurturing many furry creatures. After graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota in biology, I followed my life-long passion of caring for animals when I graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985.
